Living Independently provides the QuietCare® system to senior housing, home care, hospitals, health systems, and other aging services professionals, as well as individuals aging-in-place.

We have the following positions available:

Regional Director, Clinical and Client Services

Current regional positions open: Seattle Washington, Southern California, and Connecticut.

QuietCare is currently seeking healthcare professionals for customer service and sales for its ongoing expansion among ALFs and other professional aging services providers. The ideal candidate would have a nursing or social work background and currently working in a clinical consulting capacity or project management capacity to the long-term care industry.

The Regional Director would be responsible for leading our sales and services effort in the region and will be instrumental in shaping the Living Independently strategy for the region. Responsibilities include developing new institutional clients, providing account management to existing institutional clients, and leading our business development, outreach and marketing effort to the region-wide network of professional aging services providers. The Regional Director will manage an existing client base as a key asset for growing their respective markets. The sales and account management process is consultative in nature, with a focus on how QuietCare can be implemented in a way that helps clients achieve their strategic, operational, and financial goals. Therefore, analytical thinking abilities, self-directed work style, leadership, project management, and customer service skills are musts. Travel will be limited mostly to in-state or territory but will involve some national travel.

Successful candidates should have the following attributes:

  • A background in nursing or social work in long-term care
  • Previous long-term care work experience in project management, operational/clinical consulting, ALF management or administration is a must.
  • A desire to work with clients to innovate their caregiving with the QuietCare system
  • The ability to travel regionally and/or nationally
  • Sales and/or customer service experience
  • Facility with a personal computer and the internet
  • Basic understanding of technology used in senior housing highly desirable (NOT for technophobes)
  • Highly motivated, high energy, with a desire to succeed

Compensation is competitive, with a base salary and commissions on accounts, with the opportunity to earn stock options in this exciting, high growth company.

Installer

Current position open: New York, NY.

Responsibilities include:

  • Installing end-user hardware (think "alarm system") in individual and group residences in the central/western US (most of the work will probably be local/regional, with occassional travel).
  • Training other employees and institutional caregivers how to install hardware.
  • Doing some data entry for new accounts.
  • Handling support calls and email from other installers, institutional caregivers, etc. (about installation process, interpretation of data, use of system, etc.).
  • Assisting in rudimentary PC support tasks

Skills required:

  • Communication: with technical and non-technical people; oral and written (wiki, email).
  • Car driving. Must have license, own car.

Personal attributes:

  • Customer service mentality is a must.
  • Comfortable in start-up environment: ongoing change in plans; lack of support staff; need for self-management via constant dialogue; etc.

Education/experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in technical field from accredited university.
  • 6 months work experience.
